Review Supplements from a functional medicine doctor in USA and Internal Shipments through USPS

I have been taking advices from a functional medicine doctor in USA (after having not much success for my autoimmune diseases in India) and order his supplements. He lives in Austin, Texas, USA and I live in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

In the previous year 2020, I ordered supplements worth about 50,000 INR or roughly 700 USD from him. First time in February 2020 via tracking id UA670529961US and second time in November 2020 via tracking id EP987599307US. Both of them still haven't reached me even today ie 16th January 2021. That money, 50,000 INR has been burned, down the toilet.

If you ask for an update from their staff at office@somefunctionalmedicinedcotor.com, you would simultaneously have a huge urge to bang your head against the wall. You would need atleast a few days to explain them the issue, at first they would deny it, and after a few more days of explaining, they might agree there is a problem, but still deny to help you. So, keep that in mind as well.

Secondly, Remember that Justin health's primary objective is to sell as many supplements as possible; not the ones you need. I thought he was a doctor and listening to my problems and advising me supplements appropriate to my current situation; but boy was I wrong! but boy was I wrong!

So be careful guys, do not order supplements during these corona times from USA or using the carrier USPS.

You could buy supplements from iherb.com instead. They have been delivering steadily and before the ETA all through out the corona times.

Hope you avoid burning your money

    1. Hey Man,

The thing I keep repeating and I saw repeating by the functional med doctors in USA is that all the diseases begin the gut. The most common organs in our digestive system to go bad is our gut. The food pipe from mouth to anus. This one creates a whole body systemic inflammation by how much the nervous system connects out gut and the brain together.

A bad gut = a bad brain = everything bad in our body.

How does the gut go bad? Bad immune system, bad diet, too much life stress, antibiotics. Volumes can be written about how each of these affect your gut health and in turn your overall health.

All of these cause infections to grow in your colon, which then grown into your small intestine and passing through the whole of small intestine into your stomach. This causes digestion to become sluggish and inability to absorb nutrients from food. The undigested food exacerbates the problem even more. So gut infection is the most common problem in a digestive system, which the gastroenterologists do not test, cannot test, not aware of and therefore ignore.

The functional med doctors in US do a stool test to determine the gut infections. I recently did a google search and found there is a lab in India that does this kind of test too. I havent gotten around doing this test. I am going to do that in the near future and upload the results.

So to clear these gut infections, USA doctors give herbal antimicrobials which specifically target these gut infections and are very forgiving on the gut microbiome. Pharmaceutical antimicrobials also kill gut infections but they kill a lof of friendly microbiome in the gut too. So herbal antimicrobials are usually preferred. Before taking the herbal antimicrobials, functional med doctors make you strong by giving you extra bioidentical upstream hormones, like Pregenolone, DHEA and Licorice and other adrenal support. These hormones and adrenal support make you stronger so that you can handle the infection killing, otherwise it is very stressfull.

Unfortunately for us in India, the identical or replacement supplements available in India are total crap to understate it. Plus, importing these supplements need 50% import duty on the original cost of purchasing supplements.

I would suggest do the gut infection testing in India as the first step because that is also the first step American doctors do when you start with their treatment.

    2. Hi
Can you tell me what extra bioidentical upstream hormones are recommended? I'm currently taking Ashwagandha. Also, what labs in India are offering this gut infection testing, or US labs are the only solution? What lab should I go with?

    3. Also, can you share the supplement list that was recommended to you when you started with Dr. Justin? And also, how to take them? They must have given you documents with supplements lists and ho to take them? Can you attach those docs here?
